Sydney Woodturners Guild
The Guild is a craft/hobby club, mainly composed of amateur turners, and is open to anyone without age, race, sex or skill discrimination. There are also professional woodturners on the membership list. Generally though, the Guild consists of people who are interested in learning from and assisting others in the craft of hand woodturning. All Guild meetings are conducted as informally as possible, and the main aim of the Guild is to involve members to their benefit and enjoyment.
The Guild has a website at www.sydneywoodturners.com.au with the Guild news and articles of interest to woodturners.
Regional meetings are held in various homes, schools or our own premises and are very popular as members come together to discuss matters of general interest to woodturners, seek solutions to problems with projects, get inspiration and ideas for their next projects, to demonstrate, and to learn. In addition, meetings can include demonstrations of new products and techniques by manufacturers.
